English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC)

An English Learner Advisory Committee is intended for parents or guardians of English Learners to advise the principal and school staff on programs and services for English Learners. The main objectives are to inform parents about the various facets of the English Learner Master Plan so they may make informed decisions about the programs and services their children are receiving. Lastly, these meetings provide a forum where topics pertaining uniquely to the needs of parents of ELs can be presented and discussed.

¿Qué es ELAC? El Comité Asesor de Estudiantes de Inglés, ELAC por sus siglas en inglés, está compuesto por los padres o tutores de los estudiantes de inglés para asesorar al director y al personal de la escuela sobre los programas y servicios para los estudiantes de inglés. Los objetivos principales son informar a los padres sobre las diversas facetas del Plan Maestro para Estudiantes de Inglés para que puedan tomar decisiones informadas sobre los programas y servicios que sus hijos están recibiendo. Por último, estas reuniones constituyen un medio en el que pueden presentarse y analizarse temas relacionados exclusivamente con las necesidades de los padres de alumnos que aprenden inglés.

All meetings will begin at 3:30 p.m. and last for one hour. 
Meetings will be held at Golden Hill School.
